Professor of Physics and Scientific Computing
I did my graduate and post-doctoral work in experimental elementary
particle physics which included extensive computer modeling of
particle collisions in spark chambers.
Upon coming to Purchase I changed fields to dynamic meteorology but
continued using the techniques of numerical modeling.
Because of the voluminous amounts of data that emerges from such
models, I have also become interested in computer graphics.
More generally I have worked in various aspects of Purchase's
Environmental Science
program including climate and energy policy.
